Our Wines

The main MonteMoro wines are produced from autochthon varieties of the Slovenian Istra: Refošk, Malvasia, Yellow Muscat. Other French varieties in combination with the autochthon varieties are used for blended wines. We produce two lines of wines. The basic line consists of fresh wines, that can be found in bottles with black caps. Classical methods of production make sure that these wines are fruity, fresh and harmonic with a nice bouquet that reflects their varietal characteristics. Wines of a higher quality are labeled aMorus and have a gold cap. As the name implies, these wines are given even more attention, knowledge and effort. The careful selection of grapes, a small harvest, very ripe and healthy grapes, longer maceration, one year of maturing in oak barrels and six months of aging in bottles are factors that ensure a high quality of aMorus wines. These wines are mature, full and rich and in combination with food create a unique pleasure.
